Age Group COACH-DR LORI J. HILLMAN
Dr Lori J Hillman assists with coaching homeschool diving lessons, tower camp, and age-group divers of Conroe Diving Team. For over 35 years (since 1988), as a board-certified Foot Surgeon/podiatrist in The Woodlands, Lori has provided care to patients, as well as competed in Masters Springboard and Platform Diving. Since 2010 (over past 14 years), Lori has won 12 Gold medals on Platform at USA Masters National Diving Championships and 4 Gold medals at Pan American Masters Diving Championships on Platform in 2013 & 2018, Synchronized Platform in 2013, and 3M springboard in 2018. At XI FINA World Masters Championship, Lori won Bronze medal (behind Hungry & Lithuania and ahead of Canada & 2 other USA divers). In July 2024, Lori won Gold medal, became AAU National Masters Platform Champion, and received All-American status, as well as receiving silver medals in 1 & 3m Springboard events. Lori is a Lifetime USA Diving Coach and AAU Diving Coach. In 1976, she started coaching springboard and platform diving in New York while competing in HS and on Flushing Y AAU Diving team and then continued as an undergraduate at Duke University. She later coached during medical school in lowa and podiatric surgical residency and Foot Fellowship in Orthopedic Surgery in Baltimore, MD. Head Coach - Bill Travis
Bill is a former competitive diver and four time NCAA All-American. He founded the Conroe Diving Club and with his many years of coaching and mentoring young divers, he is well-respected by his coaching peers. Bill is proud to have coached divers in the Junior Pan Am Games, the FINA Junior World Champions, USD Senior Nationals, USA AAU All-Star China Team, the AAU National Championships, the USA Diving Speedo Junior Nationals, and the US International Team.Conroe Diving is all about having fun, competing as a team and excelling in all we do. The club was established in 2000 by Head Coach Bill Travis. He began teaching one meter springboard diving in the pool on the east side of the Aquatic Center. As the club grew and excitement over competitive diving spread, the diving well we now use was built by the City of Conroe, funded by Conroe Diving.
Conroe Diving is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a mission to spread the love of diving to beginners and more experienced divers alike. The club is active in local, state, regional, and national diving competitions. We are proud to host two meets each dive season.
Our diving well includes:
-Two 1 Meter Springboards and Two 3 Meter Springboards
-One 1 Meter Platform and One 5 Meter Platform
